So just like starting a company in America, you need to think about making a product/service that will meet a need in India and if you think you can deliver it.
Since your target audience is India, it is very likely that the needs will be different from the US. Your best bet is to spend time learning about life in India (both the business and consumer world) and trying to figure out where there is room for a new product/ service. You might also want to make friend that are from India (if you do not have any already) and talk/ learn from them. If you are really motivated, you could even try living there and seeing for yourself how you could make something that will either makes the lives of the people there easier or allow them to do something that they could not before.
